Twelve Minutes
Norway • 12 min • 2024
In Norway, a Middle Eastern immigrant is driven to a tragic act by a friend’s lie. As events unfold, the story explores the universality of violence and human fragility.
Inspired by a devastating statistic from 2022 — every twelve minutes, a woman is killed by a partner or family member — the film does not depict the violence itself. Instead, it focuses on the quiet moments that precede it: overlooked tensions, emotional weight, and unspoken fear. “Twelve Minutes” is a reflection on absence, a remembrance, and a call to awareness.

When the tea gets cold
USA • 4 min • 2023
In “When the Tea Gets Cold,” we follow the personal revolution of a young woman. She goes about her daily routine — driving, ironing hijabs, making a cup of tea — until something inside her changes.
She suddenly stops ironing and runs into the forest, acting on her own quiet revolution. When she returns home, a hijab still lies on the chair, and the tea has gone cold.
The question remains: if the revolution succeeds, will people truly be free?
This film is a tribute to the freedom of choice for all women, no matter their religion or nationality. It focuses on small, personal moments where change begins — a reflection on courage, independence, and quiet defiance.

In The Tank

In “In the Tank,” a painter seeks inspiration by observing a fish in its new tank. But as he studies the fish, he begins to question who is truly confined: the fish, or himself?
The film reflects on the delicate balance between freedom and creativity, and the ethical weight of using life as a muse.
As a painter, I constantly seek inspiration. I thought using a fish as a model could be interesting. But the experience was dramatic: I could not ignore that my pursuit of creativity was confining the fish. “In the Tank” reflects on freedom, creativity, and the weight of responsibility that comes with both.

“Wille zur Macht” is an artistic reflection on Nietzsche’s concept of the “Will to Power.” It explores the tension between the artist, inspiration, and the creative process. The film asks: who truly guides creation — the mind, or Art itself?
“I love him who seeks to create beyond himself, and thus perishes.” (F. Nietzsche, Thus Spoke Zarathustra)
“Wille zur Macht” reflects on the delicate balance between inspiration, freedom, and the artist’s desire to transcend personal limits. It is about those who risk everything in pursuit of creation, and the tension between the mind, the muse, and the act of making art.
